Industry Automation Engineer

We are looking for a INDUSTRY AUTOMATION ENGINEER, whose main mission will be to design various automation systems and mechatronics solutions by partnering with industry leaders from the Netherlands, Germany & Sweden.

About the role

  • Designing automation & robotics solutions for material handling system
  • Defining & documenting specifications for equipment being built
  • Taking part in designed solutions realization (production, commissioning & improvements)
  • Closely working with Mechanical Engineering department
  • Creating, checking and approving documents (i.e. drawings, calculations, requisitions, expenses, time sheets, etc.)
  • Taking ownership of strategically important technological solutions
  • Ensuring in-house testing strategy is implemented on the project
  • Collaborating with international partners & suppliers
  • Constantly analyzing technological trends and presenting proposals

What we expect from you

  • Education in Electrical Engineering or related relevant discipline
  • 6+ years of experience in an Engineering or Industry Automation including controls design and commissioning within a project automation-based industry
  • At least 2 years of expierence in mechatronics field (preferably with automated material handling solutions)
  • Previously used CAD tools (SolidWorks Electrics, EPLAN)
  • Good understanding of PLCs (preferably Beckhoff)
  • Good understanding of fieldbus systems and I/O equipment, e.g. EtherCAT, Profibus, Profinet, ASi, TCP/IP
  • Basic understanding of other controls automation related equipment, e.g. Bar code scanners, Machine vision systems, HMIs, Variable frequency and Servo drives
  • Ability to work in an R&D work environment
  • Strong personality with the ability to stand the position and negotiate
  • Results-oriented team player who can confidently lead the project with a “hands-on” approach
  • Creative problem solving and can-do approach
